RSVP on facebook or on the form at the bottom. It is super important I know who is coming!
Unlikely Hikers creates safer, supportive outdoor community for people underrepresented in outdoors culture. We hike together as a group. No hiker left behind! Absolutely no diet or weight loss talk. Be mindful of gender pronouns, group dynamics, microaggressions, cultural appropriation and different physical ability levels.
SERIES: General – more than 5 miles, with more than 500 feet of elevation gain. See our Group Hikes page for more info on our various series.
LOCATION: Siouxon Creek
TIME: 10am | DRIVE TIME: +/- 1hour 30 minutes
TRAIL STATS: 7.8 miles, 700 foot elevation gain. Out & back.
TERRAIN: plan for mud, though it will be the end of June. There is def a water crossing and a couple of rock scrambles. Rocky, rooty terrain at parts, but mostly well-graded trail. A lot of flat stretches.
ATTRACTIONS: rainforest wonderland! waterfalls! Old growth! This place is truly spectacular
MEETING PLACE: trailhead
GOOGLE: https://www.google.com/maps?q=45.94652%2C-122.17780+%28Siouxon_Trailhead%29 You WILL lose reception. Take screenshots!
PARKING: fairly certain no pass needed, will update before event!
DOGS & KIDS: Low drama dogs are ok. Leashed is ideal, but I know that doesn’t work for all dogs. Kids are welcome, but I can’t promise kid-appropriate conversations within a group of adults. ALSO this is a longer trail, so please consider this in regards to younger kids.
$1-$10 suggested sliding scale donation—no one turned away for lack of funds—to make these hikes more sustainable. Consider donating for someone who can’t! Cash accepted, though I won’t ask for money day-of. Thank you!

BEFORE JOINING ONE OF OUR GROUP HIKES:
Unlikely Hikers offers three hiking series for different needs and levels of intensity. 1) General, 2) Low Intensity & 3) Nice & Slow. We want you to to have the most fun and supportive experience possible! Ask yourself, “how does my body like to hike?” No hike is “one size fits all” and choosing the wrong trail could potentially harm you. What is your ideal mileage? Elevation gain? Find out what group is best for you here: jennybruso.com/events Beginners are welcome! Feel free to ask any questions if you don’t know what some of this means xo
