Unlikely Hikers creates safer, supportive outdoor community for people underrepresented in outdoors culture. We hike together as a group. No hiker left behind! Absolutely no diet or weight loss talk. Be mindful of gender pronouns, group dynamics, microaggressions, cultural appropriation and different physical ability levels.
SERIES: General – Challenging, elevation gains higher than 500 feet and higher mileage. See our Group Hikes page for more info on our various series.
LOCATION: Linnton, Oregon
TIME: 10am | DRIVE TIME: +/- 15 minutes
TRAIL STATS: 5.2 miles, 900 ft. elevation gain, loop.
TERRAIN: Steep parts in the beginning (uphill) and last 1/4 or so (downhill). Very muddy! Short road walk (>.3 mile), one big log to climb over.
Directions: “Linnton Loop Hike Trailhead” on google maps. 105th & St. Helens in Linnton (just north of portland)
PARKING: no pass needed
DOGS & KIDS: Low drama dogs are ok. I adore all dogs, but I’ve got a lot on my mind while leading, so I can’t also manage peoples dogs, too. Kids are welcome, but I can’t promise kid-appropriate conversations within a group of adults.
$1-$10 suggested sliding scale donation—no one turned away for lack of funds—to make these hikes more sustainable. Consider donating for someone who can’t! Cash accepted, though I won’t ask for money day-of. Thank you!
